Exploring how history can be constructed and reinterpreted through objects, this collection presents a series of fictional artefacts, questions how fabricated objects can shape historical narratives. Through the character of a fictional Time Goddess, contemporary objects are playfully confused with historical references, creating lost treasures that exist between past and future. Inspired by the mysterious black monolith in 2001: A Space Odyssey, black becomes the collection’s central colour. Black and white stone, alabaster, Corian, and oxidised and polished metals create ceremonial yet unfamiliar objects, detached from any fixed historical era and navigating history, mythology and reality.
