In the milky light of a half moon

There lies "In The Milky Light Of A Half Moon" a constellation of bodily landscapes rolling around on top of each other in the dark where light can be found in the most surprising of places. It is a world where cauldrons serve as wombs and tombs and the breath of a tree becomes the death of man (and vice versa). The sculptures are burnished wild clay. They are entombed with hidden objects (including human hair, rosehips, and slate from an ancient chapel roof) and each one aligns with a particular phase of the moon. The painting, Just Between us, is gouache, wild clay, and charcoal on paper. It is illuminated from behind to highlight the blind drawing on the backside. The projection, "Persephone’s Song", is the documentation of a site specific installation, a charcoal kiln turned seed pod gone ‘wrong’ in a gunpowder factory turned country park.
