Life is Elsewhere is a five-look womenswear collection, a self-portrait written through the language of painting. The collection brings together hand painted acrylic, cracked and weathered leather, hand shaped textured fabric, digital print, and original oil paintings transformed into wearable fabric itself, so that painting is no longer a pattern applied to the surface of a garment but becomes the method through which identity is generated. Layers of brushwork, the thickness of paint, the still unsettled marks left on canvas are translated into cut and structure, becoming a self-portrait worn on the body: one that keeps growing, and remains always unfinished.
