Renewal in ruin

Renewal in Ruin explores the heritage and cultural memory held within derelict sites and buildings. The collection challenges the idea of deterioration as loss, instead viewing decay as a process that reveals hidden histories through texture and colour. Blending history with modernity, the collection uses textiles to translate the evolving conversation between people and their built environment. Natural, enduring materials such as goatskin leather and linen are combined with traditional, handcrafted techniques to create immersive textile surfaces. Designed to evolve over time, the textiles explore aging, memory and preservation, developing alongside the body and reflecting the natural ageing of our surroundings.
