This project was designed to be a thesis film, showcasing the skills and styles I have developed during my time at Ringling College of Art and Design. The mission was to create a 30 second to 3 minute narrative film of our choosing. The project took around two and a half months to complete, with production lasting about a month. Since moving to Florida five years ago, I have developed a love hate relationship with alligators, especially after having them try to steal my catches while fishing. With that in mind, I thought it would be fun to combine my love of Florida wildlife with the style of collage to create a fun thesis piece. The film explores the mind of an alligator who wants to break free and explore the human world, only to realize that it is not all it is cracked up to be.
