Yield is a speculative design work that satirises the parenting culture of modern society. As more and more parents begin to treat child-rearing as a task to be managed and optimised rather than a journey of genuine companionship and shared experience, the boundaries between efficiency and intimacy continue to blur. The work imagines an extreme version of this reality, repackaging the so-called "inefficiencies" of parenting into sellable products marketed directly to parents. Through an advertising video and an interactive virtual nanny, the audience is drawn into a world that feels simultaneously absurd and unsettlingly familiar. Because this is not a vision of the future. It is already happening now.
