Rooted in the experiences of growing up in rural Ireland, the project explores overlooked landscapes that often go unnoticed, using memory and familiar surroundings as a way of revisiting place. Each print brings together fragments of place, combining details and impressions that reflect the way places are remembered rather than exactly as they appear. Using a material-led approach to mono-screen printing, layers of texture and mark-making are built up to create depth and variation. Embracing the immediacy and unpredictability of the process allows each print to develop as a unique outcome.
