‘Urban Fabric’ is a textile collection inspired by Dublins visual landscape. Layers of posters ,paint, wear and renewal accumulate on urban surfaces over time. Through repeated interaction, urban environments become an archive of everyday life. Drawing inspiration directly from the streets of Dublin, ‘Urban Fabric’ translates the overlooked material history of urban surfaces, ubequetous throughout the city, into contemporary textiles .
